Some sites need the deterrence of a licensed armed officer. Most don't, and paying for armed coverage you don't need is money that should have gone toward better unarmed staffing. Semper Secure hires and staffs both, so the recommendation you get is based on your risk profile, not on which officer we happen to have available.

Most lobbies, retail floors, campuses, and residential buildings are best served by unarmed officers trained in hospitality and de-escalation: a visible, approachable presence that keeps a property safe without feeling harsh.
Larger contracts often mix postures: an armed officer at a single high-risk entry point, unarmed officers on the rest of the property. We staff both under one contract and one point of contact.
Officers are licensed under NJ SORA statewide and PA ACT 235/120 for Philadelphia and the surrounding counties, so coverage carries over cleanly on both sides of the river.

Unarmed officers run $20–25 per hour and armed officers run $25–30 per hour, with a 4–6 hour shift minimum on most assignments. A 50% deposit holds the date; the balance is due on services rendered.
